One word, "DELICIOUS"!! I want to try the maple syrup frosting first, and I love the suggestion she adds with it!!! There is a yummy frosting recipe in here for every occasion. Get this book you'll be glad you did, I know I am!!
I thoroughly enjoyed flipping through the pages of recipes!! I love baking but I find that I often fall back on my "go-to" flavors. This book makes me want to step out and stop being so lazy and try some of these! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is tired of the same old thing.
There's some really helpful info about what food colorings and which tips to use with your pastry bag. The recipes are all really easy to follow and the pics had me drooling!! So far I've made the Peppermint Cream Cheese Frosting and I haven't been disappointed. Yum!!
.....only I just didn't know it until I had found it. It has every flavor of frosting you could ever want and the directions are clear and error free. Nothing makes me crazier than trying to follow a recipe that doesn't make sense. That doesn't happen in this book!!

Some color photos show other ways to not only use frosting but other decorations on top of the cupcakes.
I don't write ever write reviews before I actually use at least one or two recipes in a cookbook..But..I bake all the time and can tell most of the time by reading a recipe if it will be good or not..I have read through this entire book and can see that the recipes are easy..easily required ingredients and not a lot of complicated instructions or tools. It's uncomplicated..simple creative recipes that I'm looking forward to trying. If I find I'm wrong I will write an updated review, but I can see these frosting recipes being some new additions to my recipe collection.
The first disclaimer is that I haven't made any frostings yet. I wanted to, however, there is no indication of how much cupcakes each batch of frosting makes. Is it a dozen or two? Does it yield one cup or three of frosting? Do all the recipes yield the same? I realize that this will differ based on how you frost but a little guidance in the beginning would be nice. I think yield is a recipe requirement. At the cost of butter and other ingredients, I don't want to overmake, especially as there is no guidance on how long the frostings will keep or if it can be frozen.
Having said this, the variety is astounding and every single one sounded delicious. I guess I will have to wing one recipe, figure out an approximate yield, and hope all the recipes yield about the same. Then I will have something to review.
